My league has an innings limit, and im on pace to finish +30, so i need to cut back on innings. therefore, i want to trade the so far underachieving dice-k and brandon webb for jake peavy. the pitching categories in my league includes: wins, strikeouts, ERA, CG, and shutouts (im not including saves since it is irrelevant).
once again, i want to cut back on innings pitched, and want to trade daisuke matzuzaka and brandon webb for jake peavy (i already have johan, halladay, and capuano as starters)

After today I will have a commanding 10 game lead in first place. I’m also thinking about packaging up johan santana for like a russell martin and a sick outfielder. I’m also just about to claim Ryan Braun off waivers so i’m kinda helping my 3B spot out. So tell me what you think I should do.

The newspapers and sports radio shows here in New York City are reporting that the Mets and Padres are in talks of a trade. It would send Lastings Milledge, Brian Bannister and a player to be named later to San Diego for Jake Peavy.
As a Mets fan, I’d do that trade in a heartbeat.

I mean, when the Cubs wanted to get jake Peavy and they tried and then all of sudden the trade talks stopped. The padres GM said it was dead. Jim Hendry said it wasn’t the right decision. WTF!!!!!
Look at Minaya and cashman. Does hendry have no guts.

keep in mind that this is a total points league but I traded Micah Owings and Raul Ibanez for Jake Peavy. Then I turned around and traded Jake Peavy and Mike Lowell for David Wright. So ultimately I traded Micah Owings and Raul Ibanez for David Wright. Good or bad managing?
