I was out of town and set up my VCR but they changed the starting and stopping time of the show. My tape stopped after Robin and Ted talked at the apartment and she said she was going on the camping trip. I also saw Marshall and Lily talk after he got the phone message. What happened next? OK, this is more of a “misery loves company” thread I guess. My team (10-team 5×5 mixed keeper league) thus far has been so bad, that I’m about ready to bag the season already. I want to see who else out there has had a season as messed up as this. If nothing else, we can laugh at how bad our teams are! Here’s my team’s “highlights”…
Injuries:
Howie Kendrick: out almost all season thus far
JJ Putz: missed first few weeks, hasn’t been 100%
Rafael Soriano: can’t stay off the DL
Yovani Gallardo: blew knee out in second start, out for year
A-Rod: missed 3 weeks (hammy)
Bad roster moves:
Dumped Cliff Lee (just before Gallardo injury) for a much-needed closer who since lost his job
Traded for Jake Peavy – the day after I acquire him, news hits of his injured elbow
Dumped Joba Chamberlain (for another closer) last night after reading news that he may not start at all this year, less than an hour after dropping him, he works 2 innings & the Yanks announce he’ll be starting
