Did The Lost 2 Hour Season Finale Give You The Closure You Wanted Going Into This Off Season?

Thank god we finally know who is in that dang casket.
Still want to know why John is in that casket though… And I wish it would of revealed more about Claire and her dad/Jacks dad and what he has to do w/ all this..
And I’m glad Desmond has a happy ending.. that dude deserved it.
What are your thoughts on the season finale?
What was the best part? worst part?
And where in the heck did the island go?

  1. Scott- Ben wasn’t lying. Widmore did plant the fake plane.
edit: I don’t remember him saying that at all. He just said the freighter belonged to Charles Widmore.
I’m glad we got a sufficient amount of answers. But I want to know about Claire!! Kate’s dream made it seem like she really was dead, but we didn’t see her get killed. I feel bad that Hurley lied to Walt about his dad. But I was happy for Desmond. I’m also curious about who the 6 decided the other teo survivors were. Remember they said that 8 people survived the plane crash but two of them died on the island. Who were the 2?
I was a little disappointed by the coffin revelation, but only because he was in top three list of suspects. I honestly would’ve been more surprised by the other two they used in the alternate endings.

  2. I loved it. I don’t think that the island actually moved places, I think it moved ahead in time and then reappeared in its original location. I think it moved 10 months in the future to October 24, 2005, the same day that we saw Ben land in the Tunisian desert wearing his parka and clutching his hurt arm in “The Shape of Things to Come.”
I heard Claire is on a holding contract which pretty much means she will be a guest star in season 5 and then her contract will continue in season 6. I don’t think we will be seeing Claire for a while
I loved Des and Penny and that kiss. I was crying
I think next season present time will be off the island and then it will flashback to what happened on the island over the last 3 years
I just found this video that says the whispering Kate heard on her phone in her dream is real words but being said backwards. I guess it said ”The island needs you….You have to go back before it’s too late.” CRAZY

  3. Yes just the right amount of closure and just enough new material to get you Lost!
It was a great episode overall. The Ben and Locke scenes were top notch. The Keamy and Sayid fight was awesome. The cliffhanger of Locke is Jeremy Bentham, perfect. So much was led to believe other persons might be the one in the coffin, but no. Great surprise and great big question mark.
What I didn’t like about the finale was: the writing for making the decision to keep the island secrets secret was rushed together and it didn’t quite gel. I finally get why it makes sense, though. I had thought Widmore knew about the survivors, but I forget that Ben had planted the fake Oceanic flight and not Widmore. Ben had lied about this to Locke I think. Well it’s the decision that Jack makes and the others following that does not gel. Jack was quite angry with Locke and ready to get off the island, the last thing he would want to do is listen to Locke. So I guess Jack’s apparent epiphany was what was missing. Where was the light bulb that went off that says hey we do need to keep this a secret. Something was missing in the screenwriting and acting. It’s the only part I didn’t follow well especially at the time.
Added: But remember Craig T, that the captain of the freighter says that Ben Linus planted the fake plane. Now who’s known to be the bigger liar in the show Lost…Ben or Widmore?

  4. Yea, in a way it answered some question, but It posed alot of other questions, like
Why does christian always appear to people???
    Is Claire really dead?????
Why did John Change his name????
    Didn’t Walt reconize him (John/Jeremy)???
Since they all have to go back together, does that mean Walt has to go too???
How did Ben end up in the desert???
and….What happend to the raft/boat full of people headed to the freighter????
I think they where between the island and the freighter….:)

  5. I am satisfied by the season’s ending…and it’s definetly got me looking forward to next season.
I honestly thought Ben was going to be in the casket. When he came out of nowhere I was screaming…Ben scares me!!
John was my second guess…nice touch Lost writers!
I like how they let us in on “Jack’s lie”. I’m getting a little tired of Jack though. He’s soooo bossy! But obviously he can’t handle his own creation.
What I think I’ll be the most confused about until next Feb. is the whole frieighter crew. Miles is my favorite…I hope he gets more flashbacks and flashforwards next season. I definetly want to find out about Charlotte’s connection and I definetly need to know where did Faraday go? Did he got caught in the explosion or did he get sucked in the island disappearance. These are some interesting characters.
The most disappointing is what looked like a Sawyer/Juliette hook up set up. I really don’t want these characters hooking up. Overall great season ending to a great show!!
***Kstarr*** I’m loving the island moving 10months into the future theory! That’s great thought and makes alot of sense!!
