Jake Peavy And Sabathia Both Pitching For The Yankees In 2009?
I heard the Yankees have already made an offer for Peavy at the winter meetings, Peavy’s due 63 mil over the next 4 years, I was just wondering if Yankees do trade for him, will they have to renagotiate a new contract with him just like the Mets had to do with Santana?
I heard the Yankees are offering Melky, Austin Jackson, and Hughes/Kennedy for Peavy
Also I was watching Sportscenter and they just said that Sabathia is most likely to go to the Yankees because of the enormous amount of money they will throw at him, plus I just asked the above question about Peavy and the renogotiations because I want the Yankees to still have that money that there coming off the books with saved for Sabathia.
Also Teixeira seems like a good fit since they just declined the option on Giambi, he seems like hes going back to the Bay Area where he started. Also Pettitte wants to come back and pitch for the Yankees, which I think is a bad idea, he has nothing left in the tank and hes old and grey hes aging and I want the Yankees to go a different way this year, with Sabathia and Peavy there rotation if this all panned out would be:
Sabathia
Peavy
Chamberlain
Wang
Marquez (I want the Yankees to bring him up because he seems like he has OUTSTANDING stuff)
Tell your opinion, who do you think the Yankees will get? where will AJ Burnett and other big name pitchers and hitters end up this off-season? Do you think that my predictions are grossly over-exaccherated or right on the mark? I need SPECIFIC ANSWERS/FEEDBACK!

that is not going to happen
They need as many pitchers as they can get and with the money that team has, Sabathia and Peavy are expensive options but their going into a new stadium and need to win now
they will go for CC, but i dont think peavy, u got wang, CC, chamerlain, petitte, maybe aj….or one of the ypung guys……they got a good line up all around….so they should be good! hopefully texera 2!
The Cubs are going to go all out to get Peavy. Don’t be surprised to see him in Chicago next year.
Just isnt happening
The Braves and Cubs are the ones at the top of this race
i love the yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…
Peavy does not want to go to NY and he has a no trade clause, so that’s not an option.
The Yanks are going to go all out for Sabathia. They need pitching more than hitting and already have a glut of OF/DH players to rotate.
Pettite will resign and Moose will as well, if he does not retire.
The Yanks may try to get Burnett as well, but it would be a big mistake because he breaks down easily and it a contract-year player
They can’t negotiate with Peavy and can’t talk terms agreements, it would be tampering. They can only talk to the Padres.
And, if you were the Padres, would you consider taking on Kennedy or Hughes or Cabrera, guys that were minor league bound and injured.
I think I would say “put Chamberlain in there and we will talk”
Also, for CC, he likes to bat, and he’s building a house in California.
He’s going to get the money anyway.
well I’m pretty sure they will not get Texiera CC AND Peavy. maybe one or two. I actually think they may get Peavy but Texiera will either go to Boston or LAA (although I would love it if my Giants signed him, but I don’t think that’s likely) I can see CC going to the Dodgers or the Angels. I think it is more likely that the Yankees get Manny. They may get Brunett as well
CC will definitely end up as a Yankee when the dust clears. They’re prepared to offer substantially more than Johan Santana’s 2008 contract with the Mets. Sabathia, like 99% of mlb players, will be swayed by the money. As for Peavy, the Yankees won’t be able to get him because there is so much competition that will offer better youngsters than the Yankees. I think that AJ Burnett and possibly Mark Texiera will be Yankees as well.
