Jose Reyes For Jake Peavy?

I have Reyes, but I also have Tulowitzki on my bench. I need pitching pretty bad… Will Tulowitzki turn it around?
I already offered Sheffield for Peavy and he declined. I am also willing to move Atkins, Dunn, or Tulowitzki.
I would do it. Reyes is nice, but he is a fairly 1 dimensional batter. He will steal a bunch of bases, but he won’t hit for much power or a terribly high average. Peavy will give you wins, K’s, ERA, and WHIP.
With Tulo on the bench, I would feel comfortable doing the trade. He probably won’t hit as well as he did in the playoffs, but he will be more than adequate this season. If not, you can pick up a decent SS during the season. You CAN’T pick up a starter of Peavy’s quality during the season.

if i had reyes and needed pitching, i would trade him for peavy all day; peavy will win the cy young again, and will have 20+ wins and an under 3 ERA, and around 200 Ks; reyes may not come back completely healthy, so if the guy will take it, i would do it; heck i’d give sheffield and reyes for peavy and a michael bourn or even cory patterson
Is it a fair deal? i say yes.
Would i make the deal? it depends on your team needs. If you think that Peavy will improve your pitching staff a great deal then i say go for it. If you think that you need more than Peavy to help your pitching or losing Reyes will hurt your offense too much then i say don’t do it.
sheffield for peavy is the dumbest thing ive ever heard, they r not even close. the 2nd best pitcher for a bench player??? if i was you id try to get a little more then peavy for reyes because even tho hes the 2nd best pitcher reyes is the 2nd best overall player.
If he would take Reyes for Peavy then do it. I doubt he will though. Reyes is now injured and probably will be an injury risk all season. Peavy is a top 5 pitcher.
Your Sheffield for Peavy would have been pretty insulting to me and I probably wouldn’t look to trade with you again.
Tulowitzki will be ok dont worry. Yes Reyes is declining in SB this year cause the mets said so so he wont fall apart at the end of the year. Peavy is AMAZING. He rocks!
