Here are my choices
1) Jake Peavy (2.10 ERA and 1.03 WHIP)
2) Chris Young (2.63 ERA and .185 opponents batting avg…lowest in the MLB)
3) Brad Penny (15-4, 2.8 ERA…3rd lowest in MLB and has given up 5 HRs all year…lowerst in MLB)
4) Erik Bedard (221 strikouts WOW, 3.16 ERA and 1.09 WHIP)
5) Dan Haren (14-6 with a 2.87 ERA…4th in all of MLB)
6) Johan Santana ( 3.15 ERA, 1.06 WHIP…i ranked him lower since he has given up a major league leading 30 home runs!)
7) C.C. Sabathia (182 strikeouts..5th in MLB, 3.2 ERA and 1.16 WHIP)
Josh Beckett (17-6 with a 3.30 ERA and 1.15 WHIP)
9) Orlando Hernandez (3.32 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and opponets batting average of .200…2nd lowest in MLB)
10) Kelvim Escobar (15-7 with a 2.96 ERA)
IT was really hard to leave these guys off the top 10
Brandon Webb, Justin Verlander, Scot Kazmir, John Lackey, Aaron Harang, John Smoltz and Roy Halladay

I think the original list is pretty good, and making my own would almost be a waste, since I mostly agree with it. I’d only value IP a tad more than you did, and move Johan up a few slots. Yes, he’s given up home runs, but yet he’s managed to keep the rest of his peripherals among the league’s best. Not many can do that.
Actually…I’m going to do one, but I won’t list supporting stats since you did that pretty well.
